Westside Road runs the wild western shore of Okanagan Lake from West Kelowna toward Vernon — forty-plus kilometres of coves, bluffs, and lake-view benches holding everything from resort cottages at La Casa to true waterfront estates and off-grid acreage.
It's the Okanagan's honest trade: dramatic lake living at prices the city side can't touch, in exchange for a winding commute and rural services. For weekenders, remote workers, and waterfront hunters, that trade is the whole point.

The range is the widest in the region: La Casa resort cottages from roughly $400K, rural homes and view acreages through the mid-ranges, and genuine waterfront from $1M well upward. Water systems, fire coverage, road exposure, and short-term rental rules vary dramatically along the road — every property is its own file. (Which is exactly how I read them.)

Backcountry: Crown land, forestry trails, and dark-sky quiet directly above the road.
Services: Basics at La Casa; full services in West Kelowna or Vernon at either end — plan 30–50 minutes. Regional information via the Regional District of Central Okanagan.
Schools & daycares: The area is served by School District 23 — verify exact catchments on their site — and licensed daycares and preschools operate in and around the area; search live availability on the BC child care map.
