The feel
Glenmore fills the valley just north of downtown, and it has quietly become Kelowna's default family neighbourhood. It isn't flashy — it's functional in the best way: schools you can walk to, parks on every second block, and a commute downtown that takes less time than finding parking somewhere else.
The neighbourhood climbs from older, established streets near the golf course up into newer North Glenmore and Wilden, where the builds get younger and the views get bigger. Knox Mountain Park sits on its shoulder — hundreds of acres of trails you can reach from your front door.
Homes and prices
Housing runs from solid 1980s–2000s family homes on generous lots to newer hillside builds in North Glenmore and Wilden. Detached homes typically land between roughly $850K and $1.3M, with newer view homes above that. Suited homes are common — a real advantage for buyers offsetting a mortgage. Courts & golf: The Kelowna Golf & Country Club runs through the heart of the neighbourhood, with public courts at Glenmore Rec Park and Parkinson.
Shopping & library: Glenmore's own grocery plazas handle daily needs, Orchard Park Shopping Centre is 10 minutes south, and Okanagan Regional Library branches are minutes away downtown and in Rutland.
Schools & daycares: The area is served by School District 23 — verify exact catchments on their site — and licensed daycares and preschools operate throughout; search live availability on the BC child care map.
