The feel
Big White is a different kind of buy: resort property. Condos, townhomes, and chalets sit directly on the runs of one of Canada's best family ski resorts, most with genuine ski-in/ski-out access, all about an hour from Kelowna.
Buyers here fall into three camps — families locking in their winters, investors running nightly rentals in a resort with real demand, and skiers doing both. Each camp needs different due diligence, and I run all three.
Homes and prices
The range is wide: studio and one-bedroom condos from roughly $300K, family townhomes in the $500K–$900K band, and standalone chalets from $1M up. Kelowna services: Full city amenities — hospital, shopping, airport — are roughly an hour down Highway 33 (Tourism Kelowna).
Schools & daycares: The area is served by School District 23 — verify exact catchments on their site — and licensed daycares and preschools operate in and around the area; search live availability on the BC child care map.
